Andhra Pradesh’s largest port achieves highest annual cargo handling in its 90-year history.
Visakhapatnam Port Trust announced that the port has handled 85 million tonnes of cargo in the financial year 2025-26, breaking all previous records. This represents a 12% growth over last year. Key commodities included iron ore, coal, crude oil, and containers. The port is now targeting 100 million tonnes by 2028.
