A groundbreaking UK study published in The Lancet found that a 5-month liquid diet (low-calorie soups and shakes) reversed Type 2 diabetes in 65% of participants. The 800-calorie-per-day diet led to an average weight loss of 18kg. After 12 months, 65% remained in remission without medication.
