Power couple to play star-crossed lovers in period drama set in 1940s Lahore.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali today announced his next film ‘Heeramandi 2’ starring real-life couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. The period drama is set in 1940s Lahore and features the duo as star-crossed lovers separated by Partition. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal and Rekha in pivotal roles. Shooting begins December 2026 for a 2028 release.
