Chinese-brokered agreement sees reopening of embassies in Riyadh and Tehran.

Saudi Arabia and Iran today announced the restoration of diplomatic relations after a seven-year rupture. The agreement, brokered by China, will see the reopening of embassies in Riyadh and Tehran within two months. Both nations also agreed to reactivate a 2001 security cooperation agreement and a 1998 economic agreement.
