AIIMS Delhi today announced Asia’s first fully robotic heart transplant. The 12-hour surgery used a next-generation robotic system that performed the transplant without opening the patient’s chest cavity, resulting in minimal scarring, reduced blood loss, and faster recovery. The 55-year-old patient is stable and expected to be discharged in 10 days.
